Cloudflare Community Programs support the people growing the Cloudflare builder ecosystem: Cloudflare Ambassadors and Cloudflare Community Engineers. Ambassadors bring builders together in their communities, while Community Engineers strengthen the open source projects the ecosystem relies on.

Community Engineers are open source contributors who meaningfully support community projects in the Cloudflare ecosystem. They can receive grants, a Cloudflare Community Engineer designation, and recognition in Cloudflare community spaces.

Yes. Cloudflare Ambassadors can organize on campuses, in local community organizations, or city-wide. They might activate students through clubs, organize meetups and workshops, create technical content, or bring a broader local builder community together.

The next generation of builders are both technical and non-technical. While we understand Cloudflare is a developer platform, we aim to make it approachable and accessible to anybody who has an idea they want to deploy into the world. Non-technical Cloudflare enthusiasts are welcome to apply.

Cloudflare Ambassador cohorts last one year, and Ambassadors can reapply for a second year. Community Engineers do not have a fixed term because open source work does not always fit into an annual cycle.

Ambassadors are not paid roles. Benefits include event support, credits, swag, recognition, and access to Cloudflare teams. Community Engineers may receive grants for open source contributions.
